Solo divers

A whole shop behind one diver

Most rebreather divers travel alone into open-circuit operations and spend the week as a logistical afterthought. Here, a party of one is the plan, not the exception.

One-on-one, on purpose

You're not squeezed onto a recreational boat between two groups of open-water students. Your dives are planned with you, around your unit, your bailout plan, and your runtime, and Dan dives the loop alongside you.

Your own bench

Build and break down your unit at the shop with space to work, fresh water for the loop, Steramine for a proper disinfect, and secure storage so your rebreather stays rigged between dive days.

No runtime pressure

A single guided dive can run 2 to 4 hours. Nobody is tapping a watch at 50 minutes because the boat has an afternoon rotation to make. The schedule bends around the dive, not the other way.

Self-sufficiency, respected

You've done the training and you know your unit. We're here for logistics, local knowledge, and a competent teammate in the water, not to babysit. Tell us how you like to run your dives and that's how they run.

How a solo week works

Land, build, dive

  1. 1. Before you fly. Send the booking form with your unit, cert level, sorb total, and cylinder needs. We reserve your consumables and confirm the plan.
  2. 2. Day one. Build your unit on the bench, analyze your gases, and shake down on the wall five minutes from the dock.
  3. 3. The rest of the week. Hour-building loops on the walls, a deco day on the Josie J if your ticket covers it, or both. Your unit stays rigged and stored at the shop, and the Deco Stop bar is on the sand when you surface.

Between certifications?

If you're building hours toward MOD 2 or MOD 3, Roatán is the cheap, warm place to do it: easy no-deco loop time on the reef when you want volume, real deco on the walls when you're ready to work. See pricing for dive and consumable rates, and mention your target hours in the form.
